Hi From Sydney Soon to be India

Thu Jul 03, 2008 4:34 pm

Hi everyone

This is Ben from Sydney Australia (but moving to India in 3 weeks). I was a poor excuse of a brewer making pre made hop can kits with no idea. They were fairly terrible and after a while I gave up. That was until about 8 months ago when I found John Palmers How to brew and another forum Aussie Home Brewer. I realised why my beers were bad. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. So I read and read and read and progressed from extract to mini mash to full mash in the next 3 brews and haven’t looked back.
About 3 months ago I found the Brewing Network. Its easily the best podcast for home brewers out there. There is real good balance of info and fun with a production level where you can actually make out what is being said.

We do have one member here on the forum from India, but I'll be danged if I can remember his username. According to him, Bub is right. You will have a heck of a time finding ingredients there for brewing. Better start making arrangements now for getting ingredients shipped to you. Also you may want to stick to dry yeasts as they will travel better.

Oh, and welcome to the Brewing Network. I guess this makes you a member of the BN Foreign Legion.

Yeah, that's the guy. Click on that username to bring up his profile. From there you can choose to read all his posts. This will give you an idea of what to expect in the way of brewing there. If you are even going to be remotely close to where he is, the two of you might be able to go together on larger shipments to save a little on shipping costs.
