Hello from CT

Good Evening everyone! I just joined your forum today, although I have been listening to Jamil for quite some time now, and my brewing has clearly benefitted from it.

A little about me, I'm just your normal middle aged guy working a professional career here in the Nutmeg state. I have always been a firm believer that everyone needs to have an outlet where you can go and just forget all that is going on around you, and take some time for yourself. Well, that's exactly what brewing is for me. I have been brewing for only a short time (~2 years). I started with extracts and within 3 brews, moved to all-grain.

I feel like I could go on forever here, but let's be honest, you really don't care, and this is almost like writing a personal ad for a dating service!

Let's Brew!

What this isn't a dating service!?!?!?! I just about ready to ask you out. :P

Seriously, welcome! I'm glad to hear that the BN has helped your brewing. Feel free to ask questions and we will try to help you out.

Three things:

1) Connecticut is the Nutmeg State? Who knew. Kinda weak for a nickname... but then again, not all states can be as awesome as the Lone Star State... which is better than your state. Fact.

2) "I'm just your normal middle aged guy" - Stick around here long enough and we'll take care of that...

3) Welcome!

This brings up a great point! Are we the Nutmeg state or the Constitution state? And where the hell do these stupid names come from? What do either Nutmeg or the Constitution have to do with CT?
