BE - I have to agree with you. The Third period of the game last night was some of the best hockey I have ever seen. Both goalies made some huge saves. Both teams were skating as hard as they could. I just can't believe some of the hits that were being laid out!!

All I can say is Brooks Orpik shelled out four MASSIVE hits in the span of about 15 seconds and everyone of them put a guy on the ice... and they were all clean. He was just looking for anyone to hit!!! That is some good hockey!!

Game 4... Saturday night!!

LET'S GO PENS!!

It's amazing what happens to the Pens when Crosby buries one or two of his chances. I still don't see how the Pens can win this series, but they can at least make a few games entertaining now. Malkin and Hossa again disappeared for long periods of time. I thought Fleury looked better than he did in Detroit--there was no stopping that Franzen goal (well, nothing he could do. The other 4 players on the ice could have actually played some defense).

I thought Fluery looked damn good in Detroit (mostly). He did make a few mistakes, but he made some tough plays as well. I think the biggest difference was the Penguins were able to play some hockey in front of him. They were able to make their first pass out of the zone, and maintain a little puck possession. Having the puck on your stick in the offensive zone is a damn good defense.

He played pretty good, but half of the goals he got a piece of and should have stopped. Of course, since the Pens couldn't score, it didn't really matter :P.

I'm afraid Detroit will win game 4 and thus that would be the last entertaining game of the series as then they'd likely wrap it up in 5. If the Pens win Saturday night it should set up an exciting last three games.

that was a really great game. to steal a line from hall of fame penguin's announcer Mike Lange,"Orpik was dishing out checks like it was the first of the month." nice goal by the mule, cannot argue that point at all. i'm surprised that shot malkin teed up didn't kill anyone. i bet it left a mark on ozzy though. i want Gary Roberts to crunch kronwell. i hate that farkin stinkin bastage.

So, who watched the game Saturday night? I had to go to an 80's theme party, which was weird, because most of the guests were 2 years old or younger in 1980... But it was fun anyways. BUT, I had no access to the game except a friend sending me score updates on my phone.

Was it a good game at least? Or did the Pens get completely dominated?
