Then I compared what I get from TBN vs the idiot waiter and what I pay each of them. Then I wondered why I haven't contributed, and realize I don't want to talk to the wife about it and have to explain it. Guess it's time to man-up boys...

I am very much like an idiot waiter. 15% please :P :D

I have donated... It was easier for me to give the years worth of donations all at once.. Plus i got my hoodie and my AHA membership from the store.

Another thing you can do, and it won't cast you a cent:

As you have time, write a little note to the sponsors and let them know how much you appreciate their involvement with the BN. Especially when you place an order, but even if you aren't ordering anything it will be noticed. As someone who manages lots of advertising I like to know that I'm spending my ad budget wisely.

If anyone has any ideas for new sponsors I'm sure Brewcaster J would like to hear from you......

I do this from time to time, however I recently emailed Valley Brewing and my message was returned, apparently brewing is their thing not email servers.

Granted, while I am kidding a little, it doesn't make someone a bad person because they can't contribute so let's try to keep the rhetoric down. Especially if they are buying products of the site as their way of contributing.

Dude, ordering from the store is a donation. It's support, and I think that support is the reason the donation page exists in the first place. You've heard J say it before. If everyone who benefited from the existence of this community donated or purchased goods through the store, TheBN would thrive and we'd all be a lot better off for it. You shouldn't feel bad in the slightest Brewbum. You are as much part of this thing as anyone here, and clearly more than some.

Thats how my limited donations have been going. The house needs a new roof so I haven't been able to do a regular donation... but, I have the money saved up for the roof now! :D ... so I will start a regular donation. Who knows, with the exchange rate in my favor maybe I can afford something more than the lowest option. What the F, I'll try the 10 a month and see how it goes.

I want to try to support the BN in other ways too. I am willing to be a roadie for them while they are over here in Belgium. I sent an email to J saying that if they need someone to drive them around, hold a mic, or even a bed to crash in, I can provide it. As usual though Justin didn't reply so I'll have to try Doc or Shat.

Done! I'm a sergeant until the US economy starts to do better. Then I may be demoted... for brewing with pants or something.
