You *are* drunk. That isn't likely at all. First, that's a triac, not a voltage regulator, and secondly, if you did kludge in a DC regulator, it'd turn to smoke. There is no rectifier there, and even if you had a simple half-wave rectifier, you'd still have too much DC voltage for the input of any regulator I know of. We need an EE in here to back me up.
