Merry Christmas from a new user.

Mon Dec 24, 2007 11:30 am

Greetings from a novice home-brewer from Derby, England.

Although I spent many years in the licensed trade pulling pints, I only started brewing my own about 5 years ago and still use kits (hence 'novice').

This time last year, I brewed and bottled 24 pints of my favourite tipple - 'Dogbolter' from The Firkin Brewery.

I have just opened the last bottle, and it is still quite delicious, so I shall drink to the health of every one of you.

Welcome Eddie, merry Christmas to you as well.
Just because you use kits doesnt mean novice. I still do once in a while, as do many others. Welcome to the insanity.

I agree Eddie, kits do not necessarily mean beginner. Welcome!
