Howdy

Well, let the party start, I'm here. I'm Barry, from northeast Ohio. Been brewing since the middle of this summer. My wife bought me a start up kit from NB. Boy does she regret that now!! I did 4 extract batches, then moived to AG. I've done 2 so far, and both are bubbling as I type. Found the Sunday Session a couple weeks ago, and have been playing catch up during the days at work Gotta love the archive. I've learned so much. Thanks in advance for all the help. i'm sure you all will be sick of me and all the dumb questions before long.

Welcome to the insanity!

I'd say your off to a great start, sounds like it's time to brew the wife a beer or better yet help her brew her own!

That's a sensitive subject for me. Wife hates beer. A plus, cause more beer for me. A negative cause I have no one to share the obsessionn with. oh well, I guess that's what these forums are for.

Once you have the equipment and fridge space and such, you can also make wine, sodas, meads, fizzy grapes, soda water. There must be *something* in that list she would like!

My wife also does not like beer, but she loves these sickly sweet Orchard Breeze wine kits in a keg and carbonated like soda.

Barry, same here with the wife hates beer...at first. I have brewed a lot of styles and now she loves my oatmeal stout. You find the right one for her.

Welcome Hoppo!

Don't worry about the wife not getting into your hobby... it's better that way. After all, look what women did to golf.
