KettleHouse Cold Smoke wins a lot of strong scotch ale medals, including a couple GABF's. In fact that might have been the first Montucky beer available in a can.

Missoula must be a hidden gem in this country if you're going there and skipping Big Sky. Sounds like a great place. Drinking Widmer Drifter Pale Ale. I'm not ordinarily a big Widmer fan because I think their beers are too much, but this one is good and is a great showcase of Nelson Sauvin hops.

Having a sample of my Apocalypse Barleywine I brewed back in January. Still way too young but does taste really fine. This one will be great by NHC next year. It's a dark amber color with a nice spicy caramely taste from copious use of rye and munich malts.

Would you mind sharing the details of that recipe? Because a Munich, Rye barleywine really does sound good.
