Beer Norfolk VA

I going to be in Norfolk VA off and on the next two weeks and was looking for good place to get a beer and food. I will be at the Waterfront area, but would be willing to travel. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not familiar with the area, but apparently there is a place called the "International Seaman Lounge"... reminds me of Icky, the Able Seamen. If you do find some good places, you should post them in this thread for future BNer reference.

I live in Norfolk and you have to go to "The Birch" on W. Onley st voted in the top 50 beer bars in the world and they have some awesome awesome brews. They import from all over the work with a great selection and decent prices. They also do half pours which is good for those really $$ or high ABV beers. Always up for meeting a fellow soldier. Pm and I give you my number and meet for a beer. There is all the tap house on 21st. This sat there is a summer bar crawl in norfolk
