C'mon. You guys are supposed to be among the best brewers in the world. Do I REALLY have to spell it out for you? No colorants other than the grain! My starting recipe will use a Flanders red base which makes a nice ruby red beer, then add a lot of unmalted and malted wheat to provide a nice white haze to the beer.The result should be a creamy pink beer with a rocky white head. I'm Not above introducing a non-spoiling bacterial infection to help with the haze, however.

Yeah, I got that. I just think it is a silly idea. Kudos to the cancer beer, but this is dumb. Just sayin. Unless you are doing r and d, for Anheuser Busch.

Still not grasping the concept here people. If you add fruit it's just another fruit beer. Not a new style. That's like the morons who add a bunch of black patent to an IPA and think it's the same as a Cascadian Dark Ale. American Pink Ale has to stand on its own or there's just no point. Making a pink beer with food coloring or fruit juice is easy. Anyone can do THAT. the point here is to make a BRAND NEW, ORIGINAL beer style that has never been made before in the history of the planet. (At least as far as anyone knows.)

Yeah snowcapt. A lot of people think beer styles are just dumb. This sure ain't inbev's kind of beer. There's no way to brew something like this using only grain for color without pumping a whole lot of flavor into it. When I first got the concept, I saw it as a challenge to my skill as a brewer. I thought there were enough home brewers out there who also took pride in their skill to see this style rise out of nowhere and put that gimmicky crap right into the trash can. I'm finding out I was dead wrong. Apparently, even with all the competitive brewers out there, there aren't enough home brewers with enough skill to develop a simple recipe on their own. Even though I've pretty much spelled out how they might do it successfully.
