Anyone make a Fat Tire clone? Thinking about brewing something like a Fat Tire tomorrow...Heres what i have come up with.
For a 5 gallon Batch
80% Mash Eff.
OG - 1.048
24 IBU using Rager
6.5 lbs. 2-Row Brewers Malt info
1 lbs. Munich 10L Malt info
.25 lbs. 2-Row Caramel Malt 80L info
.75 lbs. Victory® Malt info
.2 lbs. Special Roast Malt info
.75 oz. Willamette (Pellets, 5.00 %AA) boiled 90 min. info
.25 oz. Willamette (Pellets, 5.00 %AA) boiled 60 min. info
.5 oz. Willamette (Pellets, 5.00 %AA) boiled 1 min. info
1 tsp. Irish Moss (15 min left boil ) (not included in calculations)
Yeast : White Labs WLP001 California Ale info
I did a clone recipe out of BYO last year and it came out to dark and had alot of caramel character I didn't get in the Fat Tire. I brewed Jamils Special Bitter and I got a nice cracker note out of that beer from the Special Roast, thinking it might work here.
