Dammit, I told my wife if anything advanced, I wanted it to be my Tripel and I wanted to beat Kristen England (just because he's Jamil of the midwest). Well, Kristen England took first in Belgian Stong, I took second Well played, Mr. England. I guess he did give me the tip to bottle my Belgian's using Nottingham dry yeast.

In the end I'm just happy to be sending a couple of beers on....

Our Barrel Aged Dark Strong with 4 other guys in my club took 1st in the Southeast region, 22c.

I feel like I let the BN down. I only had one beer entered (kinda fucked up on the timing). It was in the Belgian Dark Strong Ale category and scored 32.5, not bad but I knew it wasn't my best effort. Especially the way Quaff totally dominated the Southwest region. Got to bring it STRONGER (excuse the pun) next year...

Don't even get me started on QUEEFF. There are A LOT of douchebags in that club. I know there are some good guys there too, but I get the impression they are not the majority, at least of those I've met.
