Can anyone recommend a "ghetto" bottle filler that will do the deed for the time being?

Well, JB, all you gotta do is slip on a lil rubba thingy over yer fawsit ;^) Actually, a po man's CPF is made by taking a 10 inch (25 cm) tygon hose (1/2" inside dia, thats 12.5mm for all you metrix ppl) and affix it to the end of your faucet and drop your bottle around the hose until you hit bottom, then pour with low pressure, like 2-3 PSI until full, and then pull out your johnson, erm I mean your hose till you empty the last bit from the inside of the hose and you *should* have a fairly full bottle w/o much foam, except for what you will need for oxycap bottling. Good luck!

Prost!

Glad you got it okay. the spare tire is an american ale. i have been traveling for work for the last week so i rushed the package out and didn't put anything in there about what i sent.

that said...

the spare tire is my first attempt at a fat tire clone and the Kolsch is based off a recipe someone in the forum shared with me. I hope you enjoy them.

I guess I learned a little lesson with this Secret Santa adventure.

I've been using these nifty styofoam shipping containers for beer. Their original purpose is for shipping, along with gel cold packs, medicine that requires refrigeration. The ones I have were originally delivered by FedEx.

I dropped mine off at the UPS counter the other day with no fuss. A couple days later I got a letter in the mail dinging me for an extra $6 because there was no cardboard box! I read UPS Terms and Conditions and sure enough, it's right there in black and white.

So the lesson, kids, is even if you have a neato shipping container, wrap it in cardboard before you give it to UPS. Apparently no special treatment is required for Fed Ex.

I've sent these things before without the extra fee - I wonder if a bottle got broken or something and that made them pay closer attention this time?

Danny,

I got the package just fine. Sorry I didn't write and let you know. Everything made it just fine. I haven't had time to try any of it yet tho  I'll let you know when I do. And Thanks a lot man looks like some great stuff.

Also I reused you packing to send some beer to krotch so I'll have it there for the NHC. The guy I ship with warned me of the extra charge, so I threw it in a cardboard box.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.

sooo polski... you want me to review the beers here or go fuck myself?
BTW one of the Spare Tires had mould in it ... the other was fine... probably a single bottle issue but you may want to check the others.

Well I think those are two separate issues, Bub. :)

This brings up a good question. I think we all want feedback about our brews. Is it useful to wade through a thread on the forum or shall we email each other "results"?
