If anyone gives a fuck.....which is most likely a no....my wife matched for her residency in pathology at UPMC. I guess its one of the top programs in the country......one step closer to being my sugar momma!

the Burgh is right up your alley booboo. as cold as buffalo with half the snow. lots of great bars, lots of little cozy bars...in general, it's a good town to be in if you like to drink. Stay out of the hill district and everything should be good. drive around for a day or two to get your sense of direction and pay attention to what side of what river you on while driving. it's easy to get lost at first but you'll figure it out. I'm jealous, the wife says it's too cold to go back to so now i just have to visit when i can.

All due respect to Steelers&Beer, you'll never get a sense of direction in Pittsburgh!

Find Sharp Edge and Fatheads beer bars first. Rivertowne Pour House is one of the best brewpubs anywhere. Of course Church Brew Works has good food and great atmosphere as does Red Star in Greensburgh. Looks Like Red Star just changed their menu, so I can't vouch for them but their beer was so-so. Also, Mad Mex has a great beer selection, at least the one in Monroeville. D's Six Packs and Dogs has a good mix a six selection (only 12 beers per person so bring the wife if you want more).

Oh yeah, get used to buying craft beer by the case. Right down from D's is McBroom Beer Distributor second only to Beer Arena in Greensburg.

Home brew store? South Hills has a limited supply, best bet - Northern Brewer.

I'll be in the area for the annual family Christmas trip and I will expect to get together for some beers!
