Thanks for the kind words and inspiration. Still trying to pick a decent equipment kit. At this point I may just piece-mill everything I need. The thing is, I am not sure what I need. Want to do beer and wine, so I'll need equipment for both. Is there a list of equipment somewhere that I can get info from?

If you haven't checked it out already, get How to Brew, by John Palmer...a regular contributer to The BN.....and you can see it free online at www.howtobrew.com. That should answer alot of your questions. I highly recommend buying the hard copy tho.....I've been brewing over 10 years, and I still refer to mine daily.

Excellent book and somethin we'll probably all agree on.

I pieced mine together after reading the book because...well......I just did. If you can get one of the starter kits, go for it.

Welcome! Annapolis is a great town, my nephew is a sophmore at the Academy right now, since my brother lives in PA, we go down to see him when we can. Love the place. There is a ton of info here and on the shows, well most of them anyway. Have fun, Drew

So, I got my equipment this past weekend from Annapolis Home Brew. Nice peeps in there. So, look out, here I come. :)

My first attempt will be a Hefe and a Wit. Wish me luck.

Good luck Big Kahuna.

Be sure to check out "The Jamil Show" covering each of those. If I did it correctly, here are the links:

I haven't done any wheats yet myself, but they are definitely on my short list.
