Hey all BrewNoob here. I hail from Virginia but I imigrated to Michigan ( long story ). As my name implies I'm a noob but learning fast. I heard about y'all on a usenet group and love the shows so far. Learning alot in chat also. I'm 37...I think, never really keep track anymore. I'm a widower but have a steady girlfriend of over 2 years now and she helps me out with my beer but she don't drink it....pretty cool! I'm just doing extract and specialty 5 gallon batches for now but I'm sure it won't be long before I move to all grain...just a timing thing as we're moving soon to next door ( again, don't ask..lol ) Don't know how to post a pic here but you can see my ugly mug here :

Just the basics but it works so far. Guess that's about it.

Welcome Gerard,
I also have emigrated from Michigan. I always say: "If you were to give the planet Earth an enima, Detroit is where you would put the nozzle".

Cool. Sterling Heights maybe? I have family in Roseville and Mt Clemens. Moved from Metro to Tn before I started brewing. There's a couple good hombrew shops in Livonia.
