Thanks for all the welcomes. I'm all American born in Texas raised on Schlitz. My dad used to give me little shot sizes barrel glasses of this lager when I was a kid. I remember what seemed a high carbonation. I never bought this beer much as an adult.
I'm here in Germany serving my wonderful country. Heading to Afgahny land in about 3 weeks. I hope to be able to get on this forum from there. Worst thing besides missing the wife of course is no beer. Only NA beer which is pretty aweful unless you have a German variety. Those aren't so bad. The guys are going to put on another road trip to Belgium in about 3 weeks for a fun day of touring a couple of breweries in southern B and having some tasty brews. I'm enjoying a few tonight on Happy Friday. Prost from GM.
