NW Illinois

Wed Oct 01, 2008 2:52 am

I reside near the mighty Miss and I-80 (QC area). I've been listening for about a year or so now and been brewing since '91. The brewing had been slowing until I started listening to the BN (the wife is so happy) and now I've been brewing about twice a month. Love the sour beers. I have a Flanders red along with a Belgian pale (Brett Bruxellensis) downstairs getting happy. On tap is a Belgian IPA (Belgian Pale with west coast hops, 70 IBU's), Foreign Extra Stout, Belgian Dubbel and a Berliner Weisse. Would like to say thanks to everyone for the advise and entertainment. Eight hours at work only seems like seven and a half now.

Nice repertoire there. I need to make a Flanders red some time. Would that be east or west, or am I thinking of something else? -Eric

I think east and west refer to brown or red. I can't remember which is which. It's all good.
