And I'm sure it was a manly brew, too! Not a Mead or Cider.

Hey, knock it if you want, but mead definitely gets the wife on board for your homebrewing addiction? "Well honey, I need to go down to the homebrew shop and get a second carboy if I want to rack the mead..." "Well, if you want a sparkling sweet mead, we'll really need to get a kegging system..." etc. ;)

BTW Brew Engineer, I'm guessing you're an engineer? I am. I work on the radiation therapy machines at Massachusetts General Hospital. It's Haaahvid's teaching hospital.

My latest engineering project is converting an old dehumidifier to control the temperature of fermentation. If I get it working, I'll post it on the forums.

That sounds like a sweet project. Definitely post updates. And yes, I actually am an engineer/manager in the medical device industry. I've probably worked on the development teams for quite a few of the surgical devices used in your hospital.

I continue to go by the name Brew Engineer, because the abbreviation B.E. is better than a B.M.
