The ATL hits a homerun with Sweetwater

This is a local craft brewery that has fantastic beer. I'm sure those of you attending festivals have seen their tie-dyed trucks around. Thought everyone would enjoy reading about them and some of the stats about the growth of craft breweries.

I recently took a trip to Birmingham, and found a little pub that had all of Sweetwater's beers on tap. So, of course, we had to try them all. They were all pretty good, but the standout by far, for me, was the Exodus Porter. Wow, was that a good beer.

The Exodus Porter is definately my favorite as well. Another local brewery is Terrapin. Have you had any of their beer?

No, I haven't. I'll have to look for it next time I'm in Atlanta. Do you know if it's distributed to NC?

I'm not sure about how wide spread their distribution goes. Here is the website if you want to check them out further: http://www.terrapinbeer.com/

I would like to start entering in the future. I'm pretty new to beer making and would like to hone my skill a bit more first. I will soon be bottling my first mini-mash batch. Up to now I've only brewed extract kits. Nothing original until this mini-mash that is somewhat of a clone. I'm really not up on all the competition ins and outs yet.
