Still waiting on my sheets from the Southern group......I had 2 entries, Tasty's Brown Ale, and a Hoegaarden clone that I brewed with salvaged yeast from Hoegaarden bottles.

i was excited to open my first ever comp scoresheet, but then i saw the score. 28.5, brought it weak for the BN. but, i'm not sure the judges were accurate in their assessment, at least thats my excuse. entered a chokecherry dubbel into the fruit beer category. score sheets said oxidized/sherry, but that's the way the keg tasted from day one, the cherries are very tart wild cherry. i cracked one of the reserve bottles i was saving for my bos round to see if they were oxidized, i guess i can see where you could confuse the sour cherry flavor for a sherry type oxidation flavor. anyhow, i wont be bringing home any medals for the BN this year. next year i'm entering in a regular category. does anyone else have any excuses i can use?

That inspirational Cider show (the first one) must have been the ticket. I predict a BN sweep of Cider this year!

There's virtually no limit to the variations on that tired-ass "in cider" joke. I'm writing this guy some new material. it doesn't matter that I'm not funny.

I realize there's a cost hurdle, but I can't wait until the day we can get our scoresheets back from competitions in electronic format. Can't tell you how many times I've been unable to decipher the judge's handwriting, so a legible typed scoresheet would be nice, not to mention easier to send.

agreed, i have no idea what one of my sheets says, the aroma section has two full lines of text and the only word i can decipher is "finish".
