Any idea when we'll get second round scoresheets back?

Well, that's cuz you were sitting at my table... We started yelling "BooBoo" - which probably freaked all the non-BNers out - because it sounded like we were booing the winner..... NICE. The fucking place ERUPTED when Doc and Tasty got theirs....

Congrats to everyone! :jnj

Winning a medal in the second round never gets old. Somehow with only one or two advancing each year, I've managed to walk across the big stage six years in a row now. And winning with the Janet's Brown Ale was pretty special. I'll be emailing the judges who judged my beer in the first round a special note of thanks. We all should.

I couldn't be happier for my good friends and great brewers who also won on Saturday night. Doc, Nate, Mraz you've all heard from the show. And to all the BNers who placed, thanks for representing. We’re only going to do better and better each year.

I would be remiss if I didn't give a special atta-boy to Greg Robles (Otterbrew) who won his first. I've tasted his beers and it was no surprise to me. It’s been a rough year for Greg and I think he’s found a good friend in brewing, I know he has in me. He gives the BN a lot of credit for making his beer better and if that's in any small part true, then I'm not putting on those headphones for nothing because I’m really there for the brewers not my ego. Word.

A special congrats to one of my local homebrew club members, Steve Olsen. He’s a damn good brewer, a terrific guy, and one of the many volunteers that make the club what it is. Those 518 kegs didn’t get out of that refer truck and onto the Club Night floor in 31 minutes by themselves.

And if my homebrewing life couldn’t get better, this morning I got a call from Vinnie Cilurzo to discuss the details and date for brewing our ProAM entry, “Janet’s Brown Ale”. I can’t imagine how good that beer’s going to be coming out of his brewery.

Now I have to go soak my feet. I think the cellar master and crew should get free rooms, meals delivered you can eat while pushing two half barrels and talking on a walkie-talkie, daily foot massages (foreplay :) ), and Segways.

Heh.... Tasty said "refer".

Shit.... now I HAVE to go to GABF to taste the Vinnie/Tasty collaboration on Janet's Brown. Congrats again, Tasty! :jnj

Gordon is clearly a consistent world-class brewer. The idea of a blackberry Baltic porter sounds awesome and when I saw the medal announcement, I immediately wanted some!

Tasty, cheers to you and your excellent cellar crew. Everything was seamless and expeditious. You and your team tackled everything with alacrity and aplomb.

There's no fucking way I would have ever walked that stage without the help from the BN. OK, Feelings..

Integrity and humbleness, Tasty. Thank you for being who you are.
You're right about Greg in all respects. There are some fantastic brewers and members of the homebrewing community in his club, the Mad Zymurgists.

Oh man, I had a feeling something awesome like this was in the works. I think a special trip to Santa Rosa is in order for the release of that one.
Most respect Tasty, and with the history of that recipe it's pretty amazing to give the beer another life of its own at the GABF.
