Freakin OUT!

Wed May 17, 2006 10:49 am

I've never looked into buying a 3 gl corny but I now need one. HOLY FUCK DICK are these expensive. You can't even find them used anywhere... wats up with that?? Anyone know a SECRET place?

So here is another question... has anyone ever attempted to cut a 5 gl in half and then put the lid on the other half or visa-versa(make a new bottom)? I doubt it, but this is shitty! It's 2 gallons less of beer!!! Weirdos!

I feel your pain. I bought three or four of the little suckers a few years ago and got the price down by buying in "bulk". Still they were almost twice what I paid for the 5 gallon ones obtained legally.

They are about $100 from morebeer, if they are too expensive have you tried to use 2l or 3l soda bottles. I bring those to work and they do a real good job.

well see... I'll explain why I need them.

I'm going to run a c02 line up into my freezer. On a seperate regulator off my tank I will be throwing 2 psi up there. The 3 gl corny will be in my freezer filled with any liquor desired for that week.... on a usual, prob jager or jack for me. I'll be installing a tap on the outside of the freezer door dispensing it. I haven't heard anyone or seen anyone do this. I think this will be fuckin killer... but now I need to totally get some locks for the taps. If there are any other containers someone could suggest, that would be sweet.

check this set up out- www.barmonkey.net , i had a dream to make one, but i realize that wont be for a while, but I have bought a bar gun for $10 on ebay and plan on doing a scaled down version. I think I plan on using some sort of set up similiar to this to hold the liquor and possibly mixes or whatever. (its still in the very beginning planning stages)
