I have forced carbonated using 30 lbs Co2 and agitating the keg, I close the line valve, close the bottle valve disconnect the line shake the hell out of keg (I hulk out for beer) reconnect the Co2 bottle open the line valve it will drop about 15 pounds at first (using a duel gage regulator) then I open the bottle valve and fill to 30 lbs again, kind of like shampooing you shampoo rinse and repeat until no more co2 is going into solution it works well if you need a keg ready NOW but I prefer to adjust my co2 to style and wait about 3 days

is it worth connecting the gas to the beer side to force carb? just makes sure it goes through the dip tube and has to come through the beer rather than sit on top. just a thought. only just got some cornies and haven't tried them yet. :?:

I've always thought the risk of beer in the lines outweighs the possible benefit of maybe carbonating a little wee bit faster.

You would need to swap the in and out nipples on your cornie, gas it then releive all pressure and swap in and out nipples back. I dont think the end result would be worth the effort, laying the keg on its side opens up a lot of surface area on the beer and hulking out is plain old fun.

Uuuuhhhhh.... Maybe it would be easier to put a black beer QD on the gas line coming from your regulator rather than disassembling the corny?

Actually the Grey QD will work on BOTH the Gas and Liquid posts... HOWEVER the opposite is NOT True.

Sorry got a ton of snapon in the garage and love to take shit apart guess it would be easier to pu the black QD on the line but then I would not have an excuss to take somthing apart.
