Brewed a Chuckanut Pilsner Clone on Saturday. Just lit the mash water burner for my Irish Red Ale. Then I'm Bottling my Monoceros IPA for NHC and another local IPA Comp.

Got my mash going for an IPA. Lots of citrus tropical fruit hops along with some dank. Yum!

Brewed a Special Bitter yesterday ( Happy President's Day!). Unfortunately when I got up, it was 10 F out and 20-25 mph winds so brewing outside was not going to happen. I split the batch and brewed two 3 gallons batches and combined them in the carboy. My electric stove had no chance of brewing a full 5 gallon batch.

Horrible process...twice as much work for the same amount of beer. For next winter I either have an electric setup or don't brew!

I've been waiting for Blichmann to release the electric kettle they had at NHC last year, but it keeps getting delayed.

Hey Matt if you don't mind me asking, what's your clone recipe looking like for the Chuckanut Pils? Are you using British base malts and Saaz hops with a BoPils yeast?

Just mashing for a 10 gallon batch of Ordinary bitter. Ordinary, but remarkable for a few reasons...

Haven't been brewing much lately. My first batch since last July! What's more worrying is I haven't been drinking much lately. My band has been playing gigs at a bunch of wineries round these parts, and we get paid partially in wine, so...yes, I've been drinking wine. :unicornrainbow: HELP ME BNA!!

Second reason its remarkable is that I've got my yeast from a local brewpub. First time of done this, befriended Jorge who brews (awesome beers) at Smoke n Hops out west of Austin. Went to visit him yesterday and snagged me a mason jar full of goodies! Took him a jar of our honey in return.

Just started boil on a Biere de Garde. Now I just need to empty a keg to put it in. Could be a long day.

I brewed a Mild yesterday and of all times for me to get 75% efficiency when I usually get closer to 65%, I wanted an OG of 1.038 but got 1.046 and I didn't even sparge, I only used first runnings.

I think it'll be good even if it is a little high on the gravity

Damn, Texas Weather! I was planning a brew day tomorrow. CYBI Firestone Walker Union Jack. Another cold front came through. I've been trying to brew this for three weeks and it keeps getting cold! I may have to order new yeast at this rate.
