Hi from Portland

Mon Jul 07, 2008 2:06 pm

I've been aware of the show for awhile, listening to podcasts when i can. Guess I'm just a lurker when it comes to posts. :D

My name is Chad, and I'm in Portland OR. Been brewing since around 2003, started with a Mead and made my way into Beer from there. Love the Sunday session and the Jamil show! Since I've started commuting via TriMet, I've been able to chew through 1-2 Sunday shows per week, and now that i have a better grasp on some of the brewing concepts now, I think the shows are helping me improve my brewing technique.

Anyhow, thanks for having a great show, it's very much appreciated!

Welcome, Chad. A little jealous of your brewpub scene in Portland but I won't hold that against you :D

Cheers!

Hey Chad

My first post here! Yippy flippin' skippy......

Anyway, I'm Ross and I'm just down the road from ya in Corvallis. I'm also only a few miles from the http://www.freshops.com/ farm.

This is my second time around also. I stopped brewing about 12 years ago and just recently picked it back up. The BN has a lot to do with getting me back into this craft. First time around I was just sort of winging it. This time I am trying hard to really learn the art of brewing.

Party On guys! :jnj
