Charlotte, NC Checking in

Sat Dec 31, 2005 3:41 pm

Hey everyone. I've posted a few times here, but never introduced myself. I've been extract brewing for about 12 years. Until the last year or so, however, I haven't started studying what I can do to make my beer better. I've really enjoyed listening to TBN and hearing the tips from those who are brewing at a more advanced level than myself.

I think I've seen you over at the other forum right? Welcome to this side of brewing. What do you have fermenting right now? I just finished brewing Vinny's Blind Pig IPA with a lot more hops.

Great way to end 2005.

Yeah, I've been semi-active on another brewing forum for a few months. I'm really digging that there's so much of a community sprung up around this hobby!

I've got an Alt in my secondary. It's going to be more of a pseudo alt, since I'm not able to drop the temps like I should for the secondary, but it's looking nice anyway.

I had planned on putting in a Brown Ale yesterday, but just didn't find the time to brew it up, so instead of being the last beer of 2005, it'll be the first of 2006, and that's ok too. :)

I've got almost 100 brewing-related forums, mailing lists and newsgroups bookmarked

Lemme know if you need another place to waste your time in ;-)

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
