Another Atlanta Brewer

Hey all,
Been brewing for a year now, took a break this spring and summer when my friend and my roommate bailed on me and stopped wanting to make tasty beer. But then my old friend from college who was a big homebrewer moved back into town and I've caught the bug again and moved to all-grain and kegging. I've been listening to the podcasts now for a couple weeks at work and picked up a bunch of great information and bad jokes. I'd write more but it turns out I got kind of drunk tonight, go figure.

What part of Atlanta? Where do you get your supplies? Are you a member of Covert Hops?

Welcome from another Georgia boy ...
Too bad you didn't post earlier. We're having our first AHA sanctioned competition down here tomorrow and could have used more entries from Hotlanta.
You are familiar with The Brick Store, aren't you? Best damn beer bar in the US in my humble opinion. Next time you're in, ask for Dave, Mike or Tom (the owners) and tell 'em David from Savannah sent you. Great beer (don't miss the Belgian bar upstairs), great staff and just a whole heck of a lot of fun.

I am headed to the Brickstore after work. Sorry I missed out on the competition......My brother lives in Rincon and works in Thunderbolt.....He has been ragging me to come visit.....That would have been the inspiration I needed.....Especially since the Falcons are on the road....Do you participate in the Peach State Brew Off through the Covert Hops Society? We have a Yahoo group. You could have posted your AHA competition on our group page.......Let me know.

I live by the East Atlanta Village. I usually go to Just Brew It in Fayetteville for my supplies, supplemented by a myriad of online stores when I don't feel like driving an hour to get stuff. And I'm not a member of Covert Hops.
As for BSP I love the place. I always try and stay sober but fail miserably.

Crazy, I ended up going there last night too. Went with the Meantime Porter, De Konink, Left Hand Milk Stout and finished the night a little tipsy and really having to take a piss after whatever Saison they had on tap upstairs.
