Howdy from the Southwest - USA that is

Hello and thanks for allowing me on board your forum.
Been lurking for a while getting the feel of the place.
Pleasantly delighted with the depth of experience here.

Brewed my first beer in 1974.
Can of malt, bread yeast, five gallon bucket and Pepsi bottles.
Man were we happy with our first homebrew.
Best you could do way back then, the old days.
These past 10 years have been phenomenal for our hobby.
The quality of ingredients, equipment and knowledge is awesome.
May I propose a toast?
Here is to making better beer, to the joys of it creation, and to the delectations of imbibing.
Cheers!

Welcome, JJ, you criminal!

Brewing five years before it was legal. For shame. :D

You'll fit right in.

Welcome JJ! Don't let those guys get to you about being older than dirt. They do that to me too. I brewed my first beer back in 1972 using Blue Ribbon Malt and bread yeast. That first batch, however, was so awful I didn't brew again for 30 years. My beer is much better now.

Again, welcome to the madness. Don't be afraid to share what you think you know.
