New user from Harleysville, PA (north of Philly, YO!)

Been brewing since the summer (August??) Started with extracts and have made the jump to All Grain.

You see, I found out that the oil is running out and we're all screwed, and I kept telling my Wife about all of the things we need to learn to do. Like identify edible and medicinal herbs, and grow our own food, and deliver babies, and buy guns, and make beer. And since the guy behind my house is a Chicken Farmer I figured that if I can learn to brew Beer, maybe I can trade it for some chickens...

My Wife thought making beer was a GREAT idea, and I haven't worried about the Oil (much) since. Smart Lady!

The only problem now, is that I like my Beer better than I like chicken

But my neighbors LOVE me now...

That's funny. My wife and I were just talking about this yesterday. She knits and I brew. She was saying that if there's some kind of apacolypse and we have to revert back to non-technical means of supporting ourselves, we're pretty much set!

Don't get me started. My Wife would not bite on the guns (and bows, and learning to hunt), but at least I'm brewin'!

As for the knitting Linuxelf, you'll have to raise some sheep or goats or soething, and learn to weave as well

Remember, we need oil to make the fertilizer, ship it, harvest the grains, transport the livestock, weave the material, ship it, and drive to the store to buy it...

I'm getting depressed....
