I'm located in Huntington, WV. Originally from Elkins, WV.

New state slogan is lame. Those signs might as well have a running tally of the people leaving.

Any of you mountaineers ever make it to the Huntington Museum of Art for that Summer Sounds shin-dig they do every year? I think they used to call it brews-n-blues. Usually quite a few home & micro brewers there.

I always look forward to having a Roedy's Red from the folks from North End Tavern in Parkersburg.

The Ohio... wouldn't catch me swimming in it, but it's fun to travel to all the different cities on it.

We usually go up to Pomeroy once a year and tie off at the public landing area. Stay the weekend on the boat and hit all the little bars and resturants there.

Of course if that's too slow, you can go west to Cincinnati or Louisville. But that's quite a trip if you don't have time.

I've noticed the river cities have a history of microbrews here and there. We had one here in Huntington, River & Rail, but they eventually went under.

I'm an RF Engineer for a cell phone provider. I pick where the transmitters go, equipment, antennas, etc. Then watch everything crunching numbers once it's turned on to make sure it's performing correctly.
