I have a freezer with a thermostat that I ferment in. It's in my garage and a lot of times this winter the temperature was too low so the thermostat was useless, and I would feel pretty silly buying a heater. Who woulda thunk it.

I have had the same problem this winter with my fermentation fridge in an unheated room in the house. I stuck one of those reptile heater rocks inside the fridge and it keeps everything at a nice toasty 67°. You wouldn't look silly buying one of those in Florida. I got mine at a yard sale for only a quarter.

Had to do the same thing this winter in my JC'd freezer. Couldn't keep it up to 68° so I had the heating pad and the JC control on the freezer so it stayed constant.
