I have had the same problem this winter with my fermentation fridge in an unheated room in the house. I stuck one of those reptile heater rocks inside the fridge and it keeps everything at a nice toasty 67°. You wouldn't look silly buying one of those in Florida. I got mine at a yard sale for only a quarter.

Had to do the same thing this winter in my JC'd freezer. Couldn't keep it up to 68° so I had the heating pad and the JC control on the freezer so it stayed constant.

Welcome F.A.L. Don't feel too bad about posting in the classifieds. It's not that you were so wrong, it's just that we've seen too many storefronts try to sneak by posing as "one of the guys (or girls)."
