Welcome! I'm a newbie here too. For some reason you also need to put a hat on your buffalo. Not sure why, but when in Rome... It's not exactly tropical here in PA either. I'm all for Global Warming myself. By the way, there's a great place outside Buffalo (Kenmore?) Premier Gourmet, I think, that has a wonderful beer selection. I get there a few times a year.

Tropical Buffalo - thats where you southwest and you're in Sultry Canada. A little further southwest and you're in Sunny Detroit?

Welcome.

Is the Anchor Bar the real deal, or just a tourist trap?

It's for real. Do they have the best wings? I don't think so, but it is a pretty good atmosphere, it's still owned by the same family, and it's a decent place to go for some brew.

The words "Buffalo" and "tourist" don't really go together. Sure we have folks visiting Niagara Falls who stop over, but there really aren't any tourist traps. It's a pretty authentic kind of town.
