hey...

Hey guys,

My dad is addicted to the sunday session podcast, and when i heard about a 3hr long podcast about brewing beer i wasn't too interested (being under 18 myself). I needed something to listen to for the journey to california so before i used my ipod space with your podcast, i decided to try it first. After listening non-stop for 3 hours whilst played my games-console i realised that your podcast has the right balance of brewing information/tips and beer tasting sessions with the comedy/funny immaturity ;)

So as i've listened more and more i decided to get involved a bit.

anyway cheers

So do you brew, a la Meister? Or are you just a beer brewing fan/spectator?

Welcome, son of beer!

You've learned about good beer a lot sooner than I did. Well, actually, my dad did drink a lot of imports when I was a kid, and he did have a nice kegerator when I was young. I fondly remember trips to the liquor store to pick up kegs for that thing. Damn. Thanks, Dad, for all that you have taught me!

Man. I can't even listen live and sit in chat at the same time. I've got to work on my multi-tasking.

My beer experience with my dad consisted of: Dad pulls the can of Bud (latter Miller Lite) out of the beer holder and I better already be on my way downstairs to get him another. Watching Leave it to Beevis, Father Knows Best, The Brady Bunch (among other TV shows) left be bewildered. Beaver, Bud and Bobby never, ever ran to get their dad a beer. I just assumed they weren't as trusted and loved as I. They never got the belt either though.

Wow that took a dark turn. Sorry. For you youngsters, the belt or paddle was the 60's-70's form of Ritalin. I'm glad I grew up then, were I a kid today I'd be a drugged out zombie and a royal pain in the ass. Instead I'm a drunk adult and a moderate pain in the ass.

I see my hour's up, see you next week. I think we made some progress today.

Welcome!

I'm sure that since you're under 18, you've NEVER tasted an alcoholic beverage before... But, if you were make up a story of your experience with good beer and home brewing, do share it:

Do you help your dad brew? Steal a few pints from the kegerator? What would your favorite style be (if of course you were to try it... )
