Brewing in Nashville

Mon Mar 05, 2007 8:02 am

A friend at work brough in some of his homebrew for me about 2 years ago, and it was the best beer I'd ever had. The following Christmas, I got a brewing kit, and I've been completely obsessed ever since. Brewed several extract batches before going all grain. Just kegged my fourth, and best, all-grain batch two weeks ago.

I like things on the hoppy side and have mostly been brewing pale ales. My latest batchg was a Fuller's ESB clone, which really turned out well. Looking to brew some other styles this summer, though.

Hey Butkus

You're about the closest user I've seen to me, I'm in Hopkinsville, KY. I'm still brewing extract but I'm in the process of building a stand.
Do you ever get over to Blackstone? Whenever I'm down that way I can't resist some REAL ALE.

Yes, we probably go there every other month or so. We go to Boscos a lot too. Love Blackstone's porter.

Glad to see another Tenn brewer. I feel like I'm on an island here in Memphis at times. If you ever end up this way, let me know, we'll hit up the Bozco's out here. It's the only brewery here so I take what I can get.
Welcome. I hope you enjoy this community as much as I do.
