Osgood played awesome early too. It could have been 4-0 after the first period.

As for Malone's face, his nose looked like a blueberry pancake! Nasty!!!

Second broken nose for him this series!

Fleury stood on his head and stole the Pens a game they had no business winning (they were outplayed from the second period on). In the third, it looked like the Pens had given up after they gave up the third goal until that last shift (though to me that was poor defense by the Wings, you can't ever give up a 2 on 1 down low like that. There should have been a man on Talbot). The good news is after 2 boring games, we've now had 3 (well, almost 4 if you count all the overtimes!) really entertaining games. Should be a great game Wednesday too.

MAF was awesome. i got home from work a little after midnight and the wife was laying in bed watching the game. awesome. i got to see the last 8 minutes of 2nd ot and the game winner. i have the game recorded so i can watch the rest of it tomorrow. now just win game 6 at the igloo and steal another in detroit. Malkin needs to play better. he's just a non factor. and for the umpteenth million time...SHOOT THE FUCKING PUCK!!!

LETS GO PENS!!!!

I'd like to say tonight's game is going to be exciting, but I don't know what to expect. This series has been a little unpredictable. I'm hoping that the Pens can carry some momentum from their win, but the Red Wings dominated the last half of game 5.

Lets hope the Pens get rested up, they're going to need all the help they can get!

The Wings have dominated the majority of every game. I don't think there's any momentum in this series other than shift to shift. I imagine game 6 will be like games 3-5 ; the Wings will dominate play for large stretches of time, and if the Pens get a few bounces and another great game from Fleury they'll have a chance.

I will say that the Red Wings dominated games 1 & 2, but I would not use the word DOMINATE for games 3 - 5. A 1 point game is not a domination. They've been the stronger skaters for the majority, but I wouldn't say they dominated. How do you dominate a triple overtime game that you were trailing in for two periods?? That doesn't make any sense.

If the Pens come out skating like they were in Overtime the other night, I think we're going to game 7. Malkin finally started moving his legs - and if that happens then this is going to be a different kind of game.

The Red Wings look like a better team - I should say a more consistent team - but the Pens have the flashes of brilliance that can overcome that. Plus, I think if Osgood had to face the number of shots that Fluery has faced, the Pens would be leading the series - just my opinion. :D But, that's where Detroit's consistency comes in... being in those shooting lanes.

It's good hockey!!

Okay, semantics. They dominated the play, or were stronger skaters, or what have you for long stretches in those games.

I think you have the right word there with consistency though. Since Osgood came in, for the most part the Wings D has been consistently strong, and they've consistently held on to the puck--that's why they've been so good. The Pens are clearly the best team they've faced as they figured out in game 3 how to disrupt that a bit.
