Nope. It's Detroit's cup.

Now everyone is giving the Cup to Detroit. I guess the fact that the Pens have only lost one game in the playoffs... have the OTHER two leading scorers in the playoffs... and a solid D, means nothing.

I think it's going to be a great matchup!! But... I guess my opinion doesn't matter seeing that I'm from Pittsburgh.

Your opinion matters! You're an important part of our community, and we care about you and your opinions. Maybe we need Penguins Appreciation Thread!

Anyways, The Penguins are looking very good, and I haven't watched many of the Detroit games (because I don't like them) and wondered what the general concensus was around here.

I still think Detroit will win the Cup, but I'll be the first in line to congratulate Pittsburgh if they beat them!

You got to hand it to the Pens. They were up a few years back with the Cup wins, then back down to a bunch of losers, they got lucky with some draft picks and they bounced back up to be a great team. So many teams finish last, then get 1st pick in the draft and do nothing to rebuild.
I called Pens in 4 for this series and I think that will happen. But against the Wings, it will be the biggest test this team has had to face in a couple of years.

Same kind of team. They have some great players that can mix it up a little bit.
But I would give the upper hand to the Wings in 7.

Deep down, I hope the Pens win because I have some many rookie cards of Crosby and Malkin.

Luck came into it in who was available for 1st picks. Crosby, Malkin, Fluery, they were lucky kids with that potential were available. They also made some good moves and brought up some good kids through their system.

I agree in your series call too. I think the Pens will win tomorrow. But Detroit? My first thought was Detroit in 5, but watching them, they've been getting a great combination of strong effort and good bounces. If that continues, they could push Detroit to 6 or 7 games, but I'm doubtful of them winning the Cup.

I hope they do though!

I hope they don't. Watching Sidney hold the cup over his head with that awful peach fuzz on his chin and his bitch lips would make sick. If he could even raise the cup over his head ... that pussy. ;) :)

nah, i don't care who wins at this point :)

Having watched half the Penguins games and just about all of the Wings games, I don't see how Pittsburgh stands a chance. The Wings just match up better top to bottom. It will be interesting to see how Fleury deals with Holmstrom (and hopefully Franzen) in his face the whole time.

The Pens will be good for a long time, but I think their young guys need to mature a bit more before they will win it all.

Obviously Detroit has an excellent chance, but believe me...us Wings fans have seen it swept away before. The Wings can't expect to have it given to them, they're going to have to earn it.
