Santa Cruz is a hell of a guy. Did a nice trade with him a few weeks ago as well!

Spider, do we have a final list of those who got shut out this year that sent beer to others?

SantaCruz, what was your recipe for the Tart Cherry cider? I just did a one gallon test and I'm using the Tart Cherry concentrate from Cherry Bay. Haven't done a taste yet.

I used 4.5 gallons of the trader joes unfiltered apple juice and 2 quarts of 100% tart cherry juice, also from trader joes (recipe from Drew Beechum's cider book). Fermented with rehydrated safale S-04. My first cider and it turned out pretty good.

Necroing this to address questions, figure most of you that are following this thread are the ones that it is relevant to. Folks have been asking when SS 2014 will be starting up, I think the timeline last year seemed to work pretty well, but open to input... Last year sign ups started at the end of September and ran though the end of November, with everyone getting their recipient's address on the last Monday of the month. If that still sounds good, be on the lookout for a new thread in a month and a half.

Sounds good to me...last year worked out better than any other years I've done it.

I was only asking in the chat last night wondering if you planned to do it...I definitely don't want to be thinking about Christmas yet.

Also, are there still naughty people from last year who didn't send their gifts?

Thanks for picking this up again.
